Microsoft is the world’s leading provider of software, services and solutions that help empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
From major multinationals to up-andcoming SMEs, organizations around the globe are placing Microsoft products and services at the core of their operations to boost efficiency and gain new capabilities.
In Jordan, Microsoft leverages its global expertise to give you the edge you need to effectively compete in the local, regional and international markets. Along with offering consulting services that enable you to quickly and cost-effectively deploy Microsoft technologies, a range of software products is delivered that helps you meet your growing business demands by offering cloud solutions, improving your operational efficiency, data security and application accessibility irrespective of your industry, business model, IT infrastructure or physical location.
In addition to empowering organizations, Microsoft works closely with the Government of Jordan, its customers and its partners to drive development within the domestic ICT sector. Microsoft actively contributes to the National ICT Strategy through training, consultation on best practices, technical and material support, knowledge transfer, investing in various initiatives and projects, and supporting local ventures.
A large number of local IT companies have also partnered with Microsoft to benefit from custom support, training and access to its wealth of resources, all of which are designed to assist them in achieving long term and sustainable success.
In 2009, Microsoft took its role a step further by establishing the Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC), which runs numerous programs to develop local IT skills, provides support to local start-ups and companies, and gives students the opportunity to be innovative and build successful careers in the ICT sector. To date, these active programs have touched more than 3,000 developers and IT professionals, as well as more than 3,500 students from public and private universities.
Microsoft has an enduring commitment to working to fulfill its public responsibilities and to serving the needs of people in communities worldwide.
Fundamental to this commitment is the role Microsoft serves as a responsible global corporate citizen through the Microsoft Unlimited Potential program. This program was first launched in Jordan over 9 years ago and aims to transform education, foster local innovation and create jobs and opportunities in partnership with the Government, Jordan Education Initiative (JEI), Microsoft partners, NGOs, educators and academics. Collectively, Microsoft’s initiatives are designed to revolutionize curricula in schools, build the capacities of educators, make lifelong learning accessible to all, support the Government’s efforts in building a knowledge economy, and address the growing employability gap by accelerating skil ldevelopment, expanding entrepreneurship and assisting employers with finding qualified candidates.
