BeeLabs is a start-up that develops innovative mobile applications best suited for Arab mobile users. BeeLabs’ focus is on producing multilingual casual games and interactive educational applications, bolstered by the expertise and experience of all those involved in it.

BeeLabs initially began with minor dips into the Android and iOS app stores, with interactive picture books as well as educational applications being released on the two platforms.

After the overwhelmingly positive response, BeeLabs is taking it to the next level and moving on with creating deep, rich, yet culturally relevant, casual games for mobile devices.

Of these is The Gnome and the Sheep; an interactive and immersive story driven game that engages children to decide the story narrative and progression through user interaction. The story is concerning a gnome who seeks out ways to protect his precious sheep from being taken by a malicious dragon, and is rich with colors and interactive interfaces suited and in line with its audience.

A second game is Shibshib War, where oil hungry aliens have descended upon Earth in order to strip the Arab World of its oil reserves. In this high quality game the user plays as a young Arab driving away the alien invaders using his Shibshibs and with add-ons such as an explosive Shibshib or a flaming Shibshib. The interactive locales include major Arabian cities and the game has culturally relevant details shed in a humorous and fun light.

ShibShib War is released for both iOS and Android and has been receiving a lot of positive feedback regionally, and it is intended to be the launch pad for other successful culturally relevant games in the near future.
